Poland WWII Photo Exhibit

Poland WWII Photo Exhibit - Official Opening Six days before Canada entered WWII "Bloody Monday, Czestochowa, Poland, September 4, 1939". The exhibit of archival photographs from the private collection of Roman and Mathew Baraniecki. Mississauga Central Library, Arts & History Department, 3rd floor. At dawn on September 1, 1939 the Nazi Army crossed Poland's border to wage total war: the war that the rest of Europe would eventually suffer, and a war of yet unseen savagery and destruction. The German occupation of the Polish city of Czestochowa started at dawn of September 3, 1939. Units of the German 46th Infantry Division quickly entered the city.
