Westie Walk and Fun Day The annual Toronto Westie Walk and Family Fun day and Barbeque will be held this year on Sunday September 11, 2011 at Mississauga Valley Park. This is Westies in Needs' WiN major fundraising day of the year, so we ask everyone to make donations the day of the walk or get pledges beforehand.The day begins with registration at 11:00 am, followed by pictures taken of each participant, then a short 15 minute walk around the park, led by our very own bagpipers.Next we participate in some really fun Westie Games such a Wiener Dunkin, Musical Hoops and we are again having our Terrier Races! We finish the day with a barbeque and of course, lots and lots of prizes for our participants.It is a lot of fun and a great opportunity for Westie owners to get to know each other .it is a wonderful Westie bash! Everyone is welcome even if you don't have a Westie! Westies in Need WiN is a volunteer rescue group, providing care for Westies that have been surrendered, taken from puppy mills or are in danger of losing their lives in local Animal Control facilities. The dogs that come into our rescue program come to us from various means.
