The Shoe Project Katherine Govier's Shoe Project (www.govier.com/shoe.htm) brings you compelling stories written and told by immigrant women about the shoes that played a unique role in their journey to Canada. Women like Teenaz who arrived from Pakistan with her husband and baby daughter, and Irena who left her native Poland to find unexpected yet interesting challenges awaiting her in Toronto. Chi will share a story about the boots she can never forget from her childhood in Vietnam, and Sheida will tell a touching story about shopping for running shoes after she arrived from Iran.
