Saint Francis Xavier’s forearm, which has not experienced natural decay since his death in 1552, is available for public veneration, in 14 cities. With this hand, Xavier was responsible for baptizing more than 100,000 people in his lifetime and the Church only occasionally permits the relic to be removed from its usual display at the the Church of the Gesù in Rome..
