Author Talks: Shyam Selvadurai

Shyam Selvadurai is a Sri Lankan Canadian novelist most noted for Funny Boy , which won Books in Canada First Novel Award, the Lambda Literary Award, and was adapted into a film. He co-wrote the screenplay, and won the Canadian Screen Award and the New York Cinema Independent Award for Best Adapted Screenplay. His other books include, Cinnamon Gardens , Swimming in the Monsoon Sea and The Hungry Ghosts . Shyam's latest novel Mansion of the Moon is a historical novel about the Buddha's wife.
