Anna Wojcik is a young Polish-Canadian soprano who is hailed as "one to watch" (Opera Ramblings, 2019). As an active member of the Mississauga arts community, Anna is the recipient of the Emerging Music Artist MARTY Award. She has performed many opera roles including Queen of the Night from Mozart's The Magic Flute, Madame Herz from Mozart's The Impresario, Susanna from Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro, Annina in Verdi's La Traviata, and Sister Osmina in Puccini's Suor Angelica. Alex Wang is a Canadian pianist who is continually exploring the connections between all aspects of life and music. Alex has performed in many recitals across Canada, the US, and the Netherlands. Growing up in Mississauga, Alex was a regular participant and repeat winner of first prizes in many local music festivals and competitions. Through his extensive experience collaborating with singers and instrumentalists, he has developed a special affinity for working with singers. Alex continues to be mentored under the guidance of Frank Peters at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. As a duo, Anna and Alex have been working together since 2017. Among others, they have performed recitals together to great success at the Polish Consulate in Toronto and the Art Gallery of Mississauga. Event Details
