Workshop: Putting Some Grain In Your Board Every year, thousands of newcomers join our community who have incredible skills that they would like to bring to an organization. It s a valuable and timely asset that organizations can tap as they face the big challenge of recruiting competent volunteers to serve on the board. Ensuring organizations have a solid understanding of and foundation in diversity will help them recruit the right people for the right roles. This workshop, brought in partnership between Volunteer MBC and the Peel Leadership Centre, and delivered by Maytree's DiverseCity's onBoard, will delve into: acknowledging the need for diversity, establishing a baseline, establishing an open and transparent process, board composition matrix, best practices, tips and tools, board member training and creating a culture of diversity.
