Take part in our online information session on Tuesday, May 16 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. about the road safety improvement pilot project that will take place along Aquitaine Avenue, from Tenth Line West to Millcreek Drive. The pilot project will focus on changing the current four lanes to three lanes to help increase the comfort, accessibility and safety for all road users, including cyclists, pedestrians and drivers. This traffic calming measure will help reduce speeding on the roadway by narrowing the road and help keep traffic at a slower speed. As part of the pilot, on-road protected bike lanes, dedicated vehicle parking lanes and a dedicated centre/left turn lanes will be added on various sections of Aquitaine Avenue. At the online information session, you will have an opportunity to meet the project team, review the project background and planned design and learn more about next steps. If you are unable to attend the information session, you can share your feedback online here by phone or email through the contact below. The presentation material will be posted here following the public meeting.
