The City is moving forward with the next phase of community engagement for the Official Plan Review – and we need your input! Every 10 years, the City reviews and updates the Official Plan to ensure it reflects Mississauga's changing needs. The Official Plan is a comprehensive document that guides how the City will grow and develop. To date, staff have shared two sets of updated Official Plan draft policies for feedback. On May 16, staff will present the third and final set of policies – related to Housing & Land Use – at a virtual community meeting. These policies: Outline where the city will grow Enable more housing types in neighbourhoods Promote housing affordability and rental protection Create opportunities for mid-rise buildings Update employment area policies Join our team on May 16 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for a virtual community meeting . If you are unable to attend the meeting, a recording of the staff presentation will be posted online following the meeting. You can also provide your comments on the policies using our online commenting tool starting May 2. To learn more visit: Mississauga.ca/officialplan
